The Indiana Commission for Higher Education has named Sean Tierney associate commissioner for strategic planning and policy. He previously worked at the Lumina Foundation. Tierney has also worked in research and policy roles at the Maryland Higher Education Commission, the Tennessee Higher Education Commission and Vanderbilt University. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics, sociology and English as well as a master’s degree in higher education policy from Vanderbilt University.
