The $3.5 million project is expected to result in up to 70 new jobs with an average annual salary of $90,000. Co-founder and President Chris Cason says the reason the global logistics software firm chose to expand in Carmel over other options like Charlotte, Denver and the West Coast is simple: "People want to come here."
Cason discussed the project and the type of talent the company is looking for in March on Inside INdiana Business Television.
Blue Horseshoe announced the expansion in March. The new positions, including software consultants and developers, are expected to pay an average of $90,000 per year, which is more than double the state’s average wage.
The company was founded in 2001 and supplies software platforms in areas including warehousing, supply chain and distribution to industries such as transportation, retail and food and beverage. Blue Horseshoe has about 200 associates at its offices in Carmel, Charlotte, Denver, Columbus, Ohio and Amsterdam.
The groundbreaking for the 60,000 square-foot building is set for Wednesday at 3:00 p.m.
