hhgregg Names Chief Merchandising Officer

Indianapolis-based hhgregg Inc. (NYSE: HGG) has named Aaron Trahan chief merchandising officer. Trahan previously served as vice president of merchandising for Texas-based Conn’s Home Plus.
Trahan succeeds Keith Zimmerman, who was terminated by hhgregg in October. The company did not state a reason for the termination.
"As we shift our focus to expanding our furniture business in 2017, Aaron’s unique background and expertise will be a huge asset in helping to drive the future growth and success of hhgregg," said Robert Riesbeck, chief executive officer of hhgregg. "We are excited to add Aaron’s leadership in appliances, electronics and furniture merchandising to our executive team and look forward to the contributions he is sure to make."
Trahan’s appointment continues the string of executive leadership changes for hhgregg. Riesbeck was officially named CEO in August after serving in the role on an interim basis since last February. Later in August, the company also named a new chief financial officer and chief retail officer, among other key leadership positions.
