Hertko Named COO of the Regenstrief Institute

She joined the Institute in 2019 as chief of staff and has served as interim COO since last year. She previously held the role of director of community outreach and engagement with Indiana University Health and president/CEO of the Ruth Lilly Health Education Center.
“Dr. Hertko is a results driven, strategic thinker with extensive experience and knowledge that we value,” said Peter Embí, M.D., M.S., Regenstrief Institute president and CEO. “We are confident that she will be instrumental in helping maintain the Institute’s momentum in support of our important mission of pioneering research and dissemination of discoveries to improve health; innovating to solve real-world problems; and translating and implementing solutions to drive improvements in health and healthcare.”
Hertko holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Knox College, master of science from Western Illinois University and Ph.D. from Indiana University.
