Health Tech Company Expanding in Fishers

Fishers, Ind. — Healthiest Employer, LLC, a technology and health analytics company, announced plans today to expand its operations here, creating up to 90 new jobs by 2017.
The homegrown-Hoosier company will invest $1 million to lease and equip 4,000 square feet of office space in Fishers. With its new location, which will be operational by early 2015, Healthiest Employer will begin insourcing software development from Ohio for Springbuk, the company’s corporate health analytics software.

Founded in 2009, Healthiest Employer began as an employer awards program, recognizing organizations that are committed to creating a healthy workplace. The awards program began in Indiana and has grown to 45 U.S. cities, with over 5,000 employers and 60 million employees represented. Healthiest Employer also operates Springbuk, an analytics software-as-a-service that organizes medical claims, along with biometric and population health data to help employers predict expenses, target spending, increase productivity and lower healthcare costs.
The Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered Healthiest Employer, LLC up to $1,325,000 in conditional tax credits and up to $75,000 in training grants based on the company's job creation plans. These tax credits are performance-based, meaning until Hoosiers are hired, the company is not eligible to claim incentives. The town of Fishers supports the project.

Health and wellness companies like Healthiest Employer find themselves right at home in central Indiana. Just last month, Governor Mike Pence joined OurHealth, an integrated on-site health management company, to announce its plans to more than double the size of its corporate headquarters in Indianapolis, investing $19.96 million with plans to create up to 450 new Hoosier jobs across the state. That announcement was preceded by news that hc1.com, a healthcare cloud platform provider, will invest $2.5 million to expand its headquarters in Boone County, creating up to 175 new jobs in the coming years.
