Harsha Behavioral Center, an acute care hospital in Terre Haute, has created a nonprofit arm. The hospital says Naveen Inc. will focus specifically on providing affordable access to high-quality mental health services in west central Indiana.
Harsha says the vision for Naveen is to help people take charge of their mental health through education, treatment and support.
Harsha Behavioral Center is an inpatient hospital that provides services to individuals needing 24-hour intensive psychiatric care, according to its website.
CEO Roopam Harshawat, who also serves as director and chair of Naveen, says Naveen will allow the organization to expand its serves to a larger group of people.
“Naveen Inc. will be working in collaboration with regional organizations to better understand communities’ needs and identify solutions for individuals suffering from mental health conditions,” Harshawat said in written remarks. “Naveen Inc. will help further cultivate mental health resources and opportunities in and around the region.”
Harsha did not immediately disclose its investment in the nonprofit’s launch.
