INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Harrison College, a private sector college serving more than 4,000 students worldwide, has announced that Carly Turow has joined the college as Indianapolis campus president for corporate partnerships. In this role, Turow will be responsible for ensuring classes are delivered to corporate partners in a manner consistent with each partner's vision and the college's high standards. She will work closely with the corporate partnerships business development team and other Harrison College divisions to accurately and efficiently provide commitments, schedules, procurement, development and delivery of programs that meet the partners' needs. Additionally, Turow and her team will help to support the goals of arranging appropriate employee programs and training, providing measurement analytics for corporate partners to gauge the success of the programs and educational initiatives, and assisting the partners in addressing their concerns regarding employee skill sets, retention, turnover and morale.
Trained as both an engineer and an attorney, Turow has worked in a wide variety of business environments, from startups to Fortune 500 companies. Prior to joining Harrison College, she served as an of counsel attorney at Katz & Korin, PC in Indianapolis, where she provided legal advice and services to employers regarding their obligations and options when litigation arose. Turow joined Katz & Korin after successfully co-founding the law firm of Joseph and Turow, PC, which offered legal guidance to clients on all aspects of starting and operating a small business. Previously, Turow was an associate with Landman & Beatty, LLP. She worked in the firm's multifamily housing practice, where she helped to provide legal services on all aspects of operating apartment complexes, from fair housing defense to landlord/tenant matters to the drafting and enforcement of employment and service contracts.
As an engineer, Turow served as a management consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers based in Chicago. She worked in the area of software solutions for supply chain management. Previous to that, Turow helped to develop software as an application engineer for i2 Technologies, working specifically on the user interface of the company's flagship product.
Turow is an active community volunteer. She serves on the board of directors and the government affairs and selection committees of the Indianapolis Jewish Community Relations Council (an organization that works to build consensus on public affairs issues and encourages community action, most notably in the areas of civil rights and social and economic justice).
She has served on the board of the Jewish Federation of Greater Indianapolis and is an alumna of their ATID leadership program. Additionally, Turow has participated in the Indianapolis Bar Foundation's Bar Leadership Series (Class X), and the Central Indiana Community Foundation's Women's Fund OPTIONS program (Class VIII). She has tutored juveniles on probation through the Lafayette Adult Reading Academy to help them gain the math and science proficiency needed to obtain a GED.
Turow earned a Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind. She is a member of the Illinois and Indiana Bars and is a registered civil law mediator with the state of Indiana.
