Harrison College Names Dean at Lafayette Campus

He has worked at Harrison for seven years, most recently as a general education adjunct professor. As dean, Newhouser provides strategic vision and leadership to the academic affairs staff at the Lafayette campus and lead the development of campus faculty. He also is assisting faculty and students transition into the new campus at 323 Columbia Street in downtown Lafayette. Newhouser has also spent the last 14 years at Jefferson High School teaching English, speech and theater. He earned a master’s degree from the University of Phoenix in curriculum and instruction and is currently pursuing a second master’s degree from Purdue University in communication studies. Newhouser also holds a bachelor’s degree in English education from Ball State University.
