Donna Harris joins the Indiana House of Representatives today, to fill her late husband's seat. Earl Harris (D-2), who passed away last month, served in the General Assembly since 1982. Donna Harris won approval of district precinct committee members this weekend.

Earl Harris won re-election in November, so Donna will complete the final days of the current session and the remainder of his two-year term.

She tells our partners at The Times of Northwest Indiana important issues include economic development, job and businesses attraction and education.
