Hancock County Employers Looking to Fill Manufacturing Jobs

Three manufacturers in Hancock County are looking for workers: auto parts makers BWI and Spectrum Premium, and boat propeller maker Yamaha Marine.
The Indiana Department of Workforce Development, WorkOne Central, and the Greenfield Area Chamber of Commerce are hosting Thursday a virtual job fair highlighting dozens of available jobs in those companies.
DWD says the job fair is scheduled from 11 a.m. to noon. Presenters from all three companies are expected to discuss job opportunities and benefits.
“Virtual job fairs offer employers and job seekers a safe and effective way to make an employment match,” said Lance Ratliff, executive director of the Region 5 Workforce Board. “Local employers continue to struggle to find employees for their many open positions. The virtual job fair platform provides another means for recruiting as well as saving time and expense for all involved.”
Those interested in taking part in the virtual job fair should register. For those who are unable to attend, DWD says they should also register as a recording of the job fair will be distributed on Friday.
