Pennsylvania-based Ritter Technology LLC has acquired Primet Fluid Power Co., based in Hammond. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Primet is a distributor of hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication systems, and automation components, according to its website. Ritter says Bill Bestow will remain as Primet’s president following the acquisition.
"We are pleased to welcome Bill Bestow and the highly talented Primet team to our expanding network of professionals," said Tim Hall, chief executive officer of Ritter. "Given Ritter’s focus on providing products and services to our industrial customers in the Great Lakes Basin, Primet is a perfect partner for Ritter. We have worked successfully with Primet in the past and we see a great deal of synergies between our businesses."
Bestow says the acquisition will "enhance Primet’s ability to continue tailoring solutions in accordance with our customer’s needs." Ritter adds the deal strengthens its commitment to its customer base in the Chicagoland area, especially in northwest Indiana.
