‘Hamilton’ Star Speaking at DePauw
DePauw University is hosting a Tony Award-winning actor Tuesday evening as part of its Ubben Lecture Series. Leslie Odom Jr., star of Broadway’s "Hamilton," will speak at the university’s Kresge Auditorium, as part of the university’s Ubben Lecture Series.
Odom will follow his speech with a question-and-answer session and a brief musical performance. Odom portrayed Aaron Burr in the smash hit musical, for which he also won a Grammy Award.
The event, which begins at 7:30 p.m., is free and open to the public. DePauw says if the auditorium is filled, the adjacent Moore Theatre will offer the program on a closed-circuit video feed.
Odom joins the likes of President Bill Clinton, Margaret Thatcher, Mikhail Gorbachev and Peyton Manning, who have all been a part of the Ubben Lecture Series.
