Hallador Energy Co. this week announced that Chief Financial Officer Marjorie Hargrave is stepping down to pursue other opportunities. The Terre Haute-based company appointed Todd Telesz to succeed Hargrave, effective June 23.
Hargrave, who has served Hallador since April 2024, will remain with the company for a short time to ensure a smooth transition, the company said in a news release.
“I would like to thank Marjie for her time with Hallador,” said Brent Bilsland, president and CEO of Hallador, “and for the meaningful contributions she made to the company during the initial phases of our transition from a coal producer to an independent power producer.”
Telesz is a financial executive with experience in the power sector. He previously served as CFO of Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association Inc. in Colorado, as well as CEO of North Dakota-based Basin Electric.
Bilsland in the release highlighted Telesz’ experience in leadership roles and spoke of his expectations for Telesz to help Hallador advance its efforts to acquire increased power generation.
“We are excited for the expertise that Todd will bring to Hallador as we further penetrate the power market and seek to advance our acquisition strategy,” he said.
