The chief executive officer of a Greenwood-based company has been named the 2019 Small Business Person of the Year for Indiana. U.S. Small Business Administrator Linda McMahon announced Monday this year’s winners from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and Guam.

Casey Wright is the CEO of Wright’s Gymnastics Academy and Ninja Zone. She is the daughter of Bob and Dana Wright, who started the gymnastics academy in 1975, and is also one of the coaches.

"Entrepreneurs are the innovators who take risks on ideas, invest in their communities, and create jobs," McMahon said in a news release. "Their skills and creativity not only support their own families, but they also make our neighborhoods and cities vibrant places to live and work, fueling our overall economic strength."

Wright will join her fellow winners in Washington D.C. in May for ceremonies during which they will receive their awards. You can view the full list of winners by clicking here.
