Indianapolis-based Green BEAN Delivery has cut the ribbon on its new headquarters in the city. The grocery delivery company invested nearly $4 million in the project that is expected to result in more than 100 new jobs by 2024. Chief Executive Officer Matt Ewer says the company's continued growth led to the need for more space. Green BEAN services six metro areas, including the most recent addition of Nashville, Tennessee. In an interview to air this weekend on Inside INdiana Business Television, Ewer says the new jobs will be in a variety of departments.

News Release

Indianapolis, Ind. — Green BEAN Delivery, the region’s largest online natural and organic grocery delivery service, is celebrating its new corporate headquarters with a ribbon cutting at 10:30 a.m. on April 10. Indiana Secretary of Commerce Victor Smith and officials from the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce will join Green BEAN Delivery co-founders Matt Ewer and Beth Blessing as they unveil their new offices at 5310 E. 25th St.

In August 2014, the homegrown-Hoosier company announced it will invest $3.84 million to expand its headquarters and warehouse operations on more than 5-acres of land in Indianapolis and create up to 105 new jobs by 2024.

“I am pleased to add Green BEAN Delivery to the list of locally-grown companies that are expanding in Indy,” said Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard. “Their focus on high-quality products and a healthy lifestyle very much meets the need of today’s urban residents who are seeking out local, fresh food.”

Located near the I-70/Emerson Ave. interchange, the new 35,000-square foot building includes 15,000 square feet of office space and 20,000 square feet for warehouse operations. The building houses parent company BEAN, LLC and its operating units: Green BEAN Delivery, Tiny Footprint Distribution, Feel Good Farm and EcOhio Farm. There are also plans for a 10,000-square foot expansion for refrigeration.

“Indiana has always been our home, and despite receiving numerous proposals from different municipalities and states, we ultimately wanted to keep our operations in the Hoosier state,” said Matt Ewer, CEO and co-founder of Green BEAN Delivery. “We are extremely grateful for the continued support from the city, state and most importantly, our members. Our growth wouldn’t be possible without each of these parties.”

Founded in Lawrence, Indiana in 2007, Green BEAN Delivery currently provides its online home grocery service in dozens of communities across Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Missouri and Tennessee. The rapidly growing company recently expanded for the first time to the Southeast, and is now providing a full line of fresh produce and all-natural groceries to customers in the greater Nashville, Tennessee area.
