Indianapolis-based Green BEAN Delivery will be growing its Indiana footprint. Chief Executive Officer Matt Ewer says the entry into the Bloomington market is “long overdue,” since the company already partners with farmers and artisans in the area. May 4, 2015

News Release

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Green BEAN Delivery, the region's largest online natural and organic grocery delivery service, will soon serve residents of Bloomington, Indiana. Beginning this spring, customers can shop from a full selection of produce and natural groceries and have them delivered to their doorsteps. In celebration of its expansion, Green BEAN Delivery will donate 1 ton of fresh produce to Hoosier Hills Food Bank as its inaugural delivery.

Bloomington residents within the delivery area can pre-register and receive a promotional code by visiting www.greenbeandelivery.com/bloomington. Sign up is easy. There are no long-term commitments or cancellation fees, and delivery is free (with an order of $35 or more).

“This expansion is long overdue as we have been working with farmers and artisans in Bloomington for many years,” said Matt Ewer, co-founder and CEO of Green BEAN Delivery. “We are pleased to bring the Midwest's most extensive network of sustainable farmers and artisans to Bloomington residents and look forward to a long and fruitful relationship with our new customers.”

Green BEAN Delivery was founded in 2007 by Indiana University alumni Ewer and Beth Blessing to make organic produce and natural groceries convenient, affordable and accessible to Midwest communities. Ewer graduated with a bachelor's degree in environmental management from IU's School of Public and Environmental Affairs, and Blessing, the company's chief nutritionist, earned a bachelor of science degree in applied health dietetics.

Green BEAN Delivery's farmer and artisan network is comprised of nearly 50 Indiana-based growers and suppliers including Bloomington's Scholars Inn Bakehouse, Ugo Bar, Dillman Farm and Vigilant Eats.
