Greater Lafayette Commerce VP departs to join former CEO

The vice president of economic and workforce development for Greater Lafayette Commerce has stepped down, the organization announced Friday.
Paul Moses has left to take on a similar role at the Southwest Louisiana Economic Development Alliance and Chamber.
Moses will join Scott Walker, the former president and CEO of Greater Lafayette Commerce, who left in January to become CEO of the Louisiana organization. He will begin his new role as vice president of economic development on May 5.
Greater Lafayette Commerce credited Moses with helping secure more than $1 billion in expansion projects during his four-and-a-half-year tenure, including Caterpillar and Subaru of Indiana Automotive.
“Over time, we’ve fostered an ecosystem that is less about who gets credit and more about affecting positive change,” Moses said in a news release. “We know our region’s strengths and how to develop new ones. Yet, we are flexible with our incentives and proactive with our workforce programs. That has enabled this region to enjoy tremendous success. I hope my work at GLC has contributed to driving the local economy for years to come.”
Last week, Greater Lafayette Commerce announced a search for a new president and CEO has begun with the help of executive search firm Jorgenson Pace Inc.
The organization said once Walker’s successor has been appointed, a search for Moses’ replacement will begin.
