Myers has worked for the YMCA since 2001 as a part-time employee and began his professional career as a full-time YMCA employee in 2006.
The organization says he led YMCA programming for teenagers in the local and state levels. Myers also helped the state of Ohio revamp its programming.
“As the board looks forward, we believe the Y can double down on the programs and services that address many of the social and recreational needs of this community,” said Jim Wallace, board president of the YMCA of Grant County. “These challenges will take a collaborative approach where the YMCA links arms with a host of community partners.”
Myers says he will be seeking diverse opinions of community stakeholders regarding challenges, opportunities, and unmet needs of the organization.
“My desire is for the YMCA to be viewed as a community asset that makes Grant County a great place to live,” said Myers.
