Grand Opening Set For $42M Fishers Development

The Depot at Nickel Plate in downtown Fishers will officially open this week. The $42 million project includes luxury apartments and street-front retail. A grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held Thursday.
The event is scheduled for Thursday, July 23 from 4:00 pm-7:00 pm at 8594 E. 116th Street in Fishers.
"We are very happy to showcase The Depot at Nickel Plate to the Fishers community and its residents. This project is a key component of the transformation of downtown Fishers," CEO of Flaherty & Collins Properties David Flaherty said.
The Depot at Nickel Plate features 242 luxury apartments and 17,045 square feet of street-front retail.
"It has been so exciting to see people walking around and enjoying downtown Fishers, and I couldn’t be more excited to celebrate the grand opening of The Depot. This is the project that started it all and continues to inspire further redevelopment of the Nickel Plate District," City of Fishers Mayor Scott Fadness said.
Flaherty & Collins Properties says 6,249 square feet of retail space is still available.
"Being involved with the new commercial growth in Fishers has been exciting for us at Brixx Wood Fired Pizza," says Jim Lessaris, Managing Partner of Brixx. "Our first Indy location, at The Depot at Nickel Plate development, and where we serve as the anchor commercial tenant, has been a great experience for us. We would like to thank the city of Fishers and The Depot for offering such a great opportunity for Brixx to bring its brand to the Indianapolis area. We are looking forward to serving our guests here and at future locations for any years to come."
The Depot is located at 116th Street and Municipal Drive.
