Governor Eric Holcomb has appointed Kari Pfau Estes of Jeffersonville to the Ports of Indiana Commission.

Her family business, George Pfau’s Sons Co. was founded in 1869 and is in its fifth generation of family leadership. Estes earned her bachelor’s degree from Miami University and masters and doctorate degrees of physical therapy from Northwestern University. She replaces Christine Keck on the commission. Her term expires in 2020.

Indiana has three ports, with locations in Jeffersonville, Mount Vernon and Burns Harbor that handle cargo for all 50 states and more than 30 countries.
