Goshen Health Offering Assistance to Nurses

Subscribe NowGoshen College and Goshen Health are partnering on an effort to assist registered nurses at the health system complete their bachelor’s of science in nursing degrees. Goshen Health says eligible registered nurses will be able to take part in the college’s 18-month online RN-to-BSN program.
Nurses will be able to complete the program while continuing to work full-time. Goshen College says the first group of 14 students began earlier this month with a second set to begin in February and a third set to begin in August 2017.
"This partnership with Goshen College is an example of nursing excellence at Goshen Health," said Julie Crossley, chief nursing officer at Goshen Health. "We are thrilled to provide this opportunity to 45 colleagues within our nursing team and we believe this is just the first of future opportunities with Goshen College."
Goshen Health is covering all of the costs for the students. The partnership comes in response to the Institute of Medicine’s mandate from 2010, calling for 80 percent of the nursing work force to have a BSN by 2020.
