Goodwill of Northeast Indiana CEO announces retirement

The president and chief executive officer of Goodwill Industries of Northeast Indiana has announced his retirement. Bill Warriner will be stepping down at the end of 2022 after more than 30 years with the Fort Wayne-based organization.
During his term, Warriner grew the number of retail stores from two to eight locations in the ten-county region. The stores serve as a primary funding source for the nonprofit.
The organization says the store growth also helped it expand services to its growing number of clients.
“Bill has been instrumental in evolving the organization’s reach to online and in-store customers,” said Steve Zacher, chair of Goodwill of Northeast Indiana’s board of directors. “He’s been a steady hand in running the business and a strong voice for those facing barriers to employment. He’s a model of servant leadership, and while we’ll miss him dearly, we wish him the very best in retirement.”
The Goodwill board has started the search for Warriner’s replacement. It hopes to have the position filled this fall.
