Kokomo Mayor Greg Goodnight has set the date for his 2014 State of the City address. He will deliver the presentation next week at City Hall. February 17, 2014

KOKOMO, Ind. – Kokomo Mayor Greg Goodnight has set the date for the annual State of the City presentation for 7:00 PM, Monday, February 24th at Kokomo's City Hall, 100 S. Union St., prior to the Common Council meeting.

The State of the City address is free and open to the public, and will be rebroadcast on KGOV Channel 2, the City of Kokomo's governmental access channel. The @CityofKokomo twitter account will be live tweeting the Mayor's speech for residents who are unable to attend to follow the address in real time.

Mayor Goodnight will address the financial consequences of state proposals calling for the elimination of business personal property tax. During his presentation he will identify the need for developing Kokomo's urban neighborhoods to attract young workers as well as retiring baby-boomers.
