‘Who’s Who’ of Golf Tees Off French Lick

A Symetra Tour event starts six days of golf that will he highlighted by Monday’s LPGA Championship on the Pete Dye Course.
The Symetra Tour, the developmental tour of the LPGA, will begin a new event on the Donald Ross Course, while the first of two Pro-Am tournaments will take place on the Pete Dye Course.
The Symetra Tour event, known as the Donald Ross Centennial Classic, runs through Sunday. Participants will compete for a $200,000 purse with $30,000 winner’s payout. The event is being used to celebrate 100 years of golf at the Donald Ross Course, which opened in 1917.
The Pro-Ams, the second of which will take place Saturday, will feature several World Golf Hall of Famers and former LPGA Tour major champions. Friday’s Pro-Am tournament will also feature former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
