GM Suppliers to Celebrate Expansion

A supplier for General Motors Co. (NYSE: GM) will Tuesday cut the ribbon on its expanded operations in Allen County. Michigan-based Android Industries says, in addition to celebrating the opening of the new space at its Roanoke facility, the company will also accept applications to fill new jobs.
Android Industries, along with its sister company Advancez, in August detailed plans to invest nearly $15 million to expand their operations and create up to 313 jobs by the end of 2018. Android had added 55,000 square feet of space to its facility while Advancez is beginning operations at a second facility in Roanoke.

The companies said the expansion is due to an increase in demand from new GM contracts. The ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m.
