GM Set For Big Fort Wayne Plant Announcement

GM recently announced it would invest more than $1 billion in its Fort Wayne Assembly plant.

General Motors Co. (NYSE: GM) Chief Executive Officer Mary Barra will this morning be at the automaker’s Fort Wayne Assembly Plant for an announcement. Our partners at WPTA-TV in Fort Wayne report she is expected to make an investment announcement involving future operations at the Roanoke truck assembly facility.

Few details are known about this morning’s announcement, which will also involve GM Executive Vice President of Global Manufacturing Gerald Johnson and local leaders.

The Fort Wayne Assembly Plant manufactures GM’s Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra models.
