Martin George says the translation, interpretive and cross-cultural training services company is adding offices in Washington, D.C., Las Vegas and Nashville, Tennessee. During an interview with Inside INdiana Business Television, George says there are growth opportunities in the interpreting portion of the business, where people come for help with daily tasks such as visiting the doctor, discussing legal matters and situations in schools. He says the company’s eclectic client list, which includes professional sports teams and organizations, is also deepening.
LTC currently has 50 full-time staff members and more than 250 part-timers and subcontractors. Plans over the next year include adding 10-15 jobs in Indianapolis and another 10-15 nationwide.
George says LTC is also expanding agreements with professional sports organizations such as the NBA, Major League Baseball, WWE and the LPGA, where it helps athletes improve communications skills with teammates, coaches and the media. It also has contracts with local and federal government clients and has worked with the military.
Its expanded footprint included a presence "three blocks from the White House" and in convention-heavy Las Vegas and Nashville, which George says will involve interpreting services for conferences and tourism-focused opportunities.
LTC was founded in 1993 and provides language and cultural services for more than 100 world languages. The company’s staff has grown by 67 percent since 2013.
