Gift to Boost Huntington University Welcome Center

A $500,000 gift from a Huntington University trustee will allow the school to begin construction of a new campus Welcome Center. The university hopes to break ground in May.
The Welcome Center will house the school’s admissions office, support services and meeting spaces. The $700,000 project is expected to be complete this fall. The center will be housed in a 3,000 square-foot addition to the Merillat Centre for the Arts. The effort marks Huntington’s third capital project of at least $500,000 since 2013.
Vice President of Enrollment Management and Marketing Daniel Solms says the new Welcome Center will "transform the work of the Admissions team," saying it will "be focused on our visitors and their experience while they are on campus, helping us to better connect as we share the legacy of Huntington University."
