News Release

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Indianapolis Law firm of Cohen & Malad, LLP, has made a gift of $200,000 to the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law to create an endowment fund that will establish the Cohen & Malad Fellowship at the school.

“We are grateful to the attorneys at Cohen & Malad for this generous gift and for their commitment to legal education.” said McKinney Law Dean Andy Klein. “This fellowship is an important new addition to our efforts to provide the very best education and experiences for our students.”

“Cohen & Malad, LLP is proud to provide this gift to educate future lawyers on the value of protecting the rights of consumers and the injured in our community. We look forward to watching this fellowship program grow and making a real difference to the students and clients they serve,” stated Irwin Levin, '78, the law firm's managing partner.

The Cohen & Malad Fellowship will fund one or more student fellows at IU McKinney to engage in client cases involving consumer law during the academic year. The fellows also will play an integral role in the planning and implementation of an event designed to educate the legal community about topics related to consumer law. The inaugural Cohen & Malad Fellows will be selected in the fall of 2015.
