German American promotes Arnett to executive role

Bradley Arnett joins the executive ranks of the company and its banking subsidiary, German American Bank, on Jan. 1.
“The addition of Brad to our executive team further strengthens an already talented team with decades of banking and leadership experience,” German American CEO Neil Dauby said in a news release. “I have the utmost confidence in Brad’s abilities and look forward to his continued contributions to our organization’s success.”
Arnett also serves as the company’s chief legal officer and corporate secretary, responsibilities he will retain with his promotion.
Arnett joined German American Bancorp in September 2023 after practicing law for more than 20 years, according to his LinkedIn profile and the news release. He worked at Taft Stettinius & Hollister, Frost Brown Todd and, more recently, Dentons Bingham Greenebaum, a global law firm that has offices in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio.
A graduate of the Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University, he has expertise in the areas of Securities and Exchange Commission reporting and compliance; corporate governance; mergers and acquisitions; banking regulation; commercial finance; and public and private securities offerings.
German American operates 74 banking offices in Indiana and Kentucky and has a pending $330 million merger with Heartland BancCorp that will add 16 offices in the Columbus, Ohio, area and four offices in the Cincinnati area.
Shares in the company closed Monday at $40.54, below their 52-week high of $46.75.
