Gen Con LLC says it has sold more than 90 percent of its four-day admission badges and is on pace to sell out the Indianapolis event for the second consecutive year.
The four-day event at the Indiana Convention Center sold out for the first time last year in its 50-year history. It also set a new turnstile attendance record of nearly 208,000.
"Our goal at Gen Con is to provide the highest-quality experience possible for as many gamers as possible," said David Hoppe, president of Gen Con. "We continue to refine our operational planning for Gen Con each year, which has allowed us to increase the total quantity of 4-Day badges available. That said, we expect to sell out of these badges soon."
Gen Con still has single-day badges available including a new $15 Sunday-only option. The 51st Gen Con will take place August 2-5.
