The Herald Times reports 131 people are being let go, down from the 160 originally planned. The company originally announced the cuts in September, citing a drop in demand for side-by-side refrigerators.
GE planned to close the plant in 2010, but ultimately decided instead to invest $93 million into the operation and create 200 jobs.
