GE Aviation Plant Lands Award For Developer

Subscribe NowThe Indianapolis-based developer of the $100 million GE Aviation plant in Lafayette has received a major award for the project. Pure Development has won Best Industrial Project from the Indiana chapter of NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association.
Pure Development completed the 300,000 square-foot facility in September. GE Aviation is using the plant to assemble its next-generation LEAP aircraft engine. The developer says the facility was completed in less than a year, one month early and on budget.
"We are incredibly excited to be recognized with this honor," said Pure Development Principal Chris Seger. "Just as importantly, we are very honored to share it with our outstanding project partners and the team at GE Aviation who made it possible."
GE Aviation says the facility could employ 200 workers by 2020. Pure Development released a video about the plant in September, which you can view below:
