Gary Hospital Trauma Status ‘In Progress’
Another Indiana hospital is seeking a key designation for its emergency services. The Methodist Hospital Northlake Campus in Gary is considered “in progress” in its efforts to be classified as a Level III Trauma Center by the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma. There are seven other hospitals in Indiana at the same stage as Methodist. They are located in Anderson, Indianapolis, Vincennes and Lafayette.
In July, Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie announced it had been verified as a Level III Trauma Center.
