Garmong to Build Shell Building in Valpo

Indianapolis-based Garmong Construction Services plans to design and build an 80,000 square-foot industrial facility in Valparaiso. The shell building will be constructed in The Lakes of Valparaiso.
Construction on the shell building is expected to begin this quarter and be completed by the end of the year. Commercial real estate firm NAI Hiffman, which brokered the sale of the eight acres of land to Garmong, says the Valparaiso Redevelopment Commission has provided development incentives for the project.
Garmong plans to build the facility to accommodate different business models. The company has made a commitment to the city that a company could begin to place equipment inside the building within 90 to 120 days of an executed acquisition agreement.
When fully developed, The Lakes of Valparaiso will include up to 800,000 square feet of industrial, office and retail space, along with over 400 apartments, some of which have already been leased.
