The 500 Festival in Indianapolis has named Carissa Galloway announcer for the 2020 OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon and the Delta Dental 500 Festival 5K. She is the first female announcer in the race’s 44-year history. 

Galloway is a Boston and Orlando based registered dietitian with a diverse background in nutrition, fitness and television hosting. She has served as a race announcer for 15 years and has announced more than 250 races. Galloway’s most notable races include the runDisney events, OUC Orlando Half Marathon, Iron Girl Clearwater Half Marathon and the Track Shack Running Series.
