FWCS Board Seeks Help in Superintendent Search

Fort Wayne Community Schools has hired an outside consultant to help in the search process for a new superintendent this week. Our partners at WPTA-TV report current Superintendent Wendy Robinson’s contract runs through June 2020.
Robinson had previously stated that she would pursue another term after her contract expired this month, but the board voted to extend the deal by one year.
“I don’t think if five board members voted for my contract that we have to defend what one board member thought. I appreciate the fact that the board has enough faith, not just in me, but in the district to know that this is a complex education environment in this state,” Robinson told WPTA-TV.
A source close to the search told the station the training to replace Robinson was needed because "we are not HR professionals."
