Furrion Sets Up Shop in Europe
An Elkhart manufacturer has opened an office in the United Kingdom, marking its entry into the European market. Furrion, which supplies electronics, appliances and robotics to the recreational and marine vehicle industries, subsequently named Jim McEwan vice president and country manager for the U.K.
The company says McEwan, who previously served as a sales director with Whirlpool Corp.’s (NYSE: WHR) Europe, Middle East and Africa unit, will be charged with establishing Furrion’s U.K. presence and working toward European expansion.
Chief Executive Officer Aaron Fidler "we’ve seen extraordinary growth this year with bringing the Furrion brand into Europe and we’re excited to establish an office in the UK to manage this growth. We are fortunate to have Jim on board to lead this and we look forward to his experience and leadership in guiding the growth of this new office. We have exciting plans for Europe and are lucky to have Jim as part of the team as we continue to expand our brand."
Furrion recently unveiled appliances, audio visual, observation and energy products for European caravans, including a cooktop oven. The year-old company also has a presence in Australia and Hong Kong.
