Furniture Maker Growing in Northern Indiana

New business and increasing sales have prompted Elkhart-based BriMar Wood Innovations Inc. to expand. The Elkhart Truth reports the company could add 45 workers in four years.
BriMar produces custom home and office furniture. The publication reports the company has secured two major recent contracts with two high-profile clients in the technology and financial fields and has increased sales by 20 percent in the last two years. Over that time, BriMar has also added 20 employees to keep up with demand. The company says 16 new workers could be hired by year’s end.
Co-owner Brian Roe tells the Truth "we have been pushing our footprint boundaries for a while. Whenever we push a larger project through our production area, we are simply running out of staging areas in our fabrication department and therefore creating chaos and bottlenecks in our production flow."
The expansion will double production space and triple office space. BriMar says construction will begin this month and be complete by the end of the year.
