The Wabash College program is designed to foster exploration of theological traditions for more than a dozen high school-aged boys each summer.
The program is part of Indianapolis-based Lilly Endowment Inc.’s High School Youth Theology Institutes initiative.
Associate Professor of Religion Jonathan Baer, who serves as program director for the youth institute says "through an intensive, holistic experience, Scroll aims to provide theological nourishment, an abiding sustenance that energizes young hearts, minds and souls. Field trips and service opportunities will supplement classroom experiences to create a learning environment where students deepen their understanding and see it applied to their own lives and issues of public importance. I am grateful to Lilly Endowment for its support in establishing this summer institute."
The first institute, which involves an eight-day summer camp is scheduled for June 2017.
