A green energy technology company in Porter County says it is looking to fill 30 jobs this year. Our partners at The Times of Northwest Indiana report Fronius USA LLC is expanding production in the United States and hiring assembly and logistics employees. The Austria-based company makes solar inverters.

Fronius will hold a job fair next week at its Portage headquarters. The event is set for March 28 from 9:00 a.m. to noon.

In 2011, Fronius announced plans to move its North American headquarters from Michigan to Portage. The company said the move would create more than 500 jobs by 2016.
