Officials have broken ground on a multi-million dollar expansion at the French Lick Resort in southern Indiana. The project will include a new ballroom and will connect to the property's learning center and exhibition space. October 21, 2013

FRENCH LICK, Ind. – Scheduled to open in January 2015; French Lick Resort's new state-of-the-art expansion will add over 58,000 square feet to the existing 109,000 square feet of event space offered at the four-diamond property. The new expansion, which connects to the Learning Center/Exhibit Complex, includes eight breakout rooms and a 22,000 sq. ft. ballroom with three sections, allowing multiple configurations.

This new addition to the resort's already popular portfolio of meeting venues makes it easy to see why the resort is the choice of meeting planners throughout the Midwest.

Features include:

-Abundance of indoor and outdoor venues alike, perfect for weddings and social functions

-167,000 sq. ft. Conference and Event Center with 27 different meeting venues

-31,000 sq. ft. Learning Center & Exhibition Center with capacity for 200 10'x10' booths with 8' aisles and perimeter

-22,000 sq. ft. ballroom with three sections allowing multiple configurations

-13,000 sq. ft. ballroom with three sections allowing multiple configurations

-6,700 sq. ft. junior ballroom with 2,800 sq. ft. foyer perfect for receptions

-On-site audio equipment and technical support

French Lick Resort offers traditional meeting spaces in boardrooms, conference rooms and large scale venues but many non-traditional venues are available as well. Imagine your group sitting around a campfire at the stables, dining alfresco on one of the highest points in Indiana or bonding over a game of bowling.

A team of dedicated professionals can also put together on-site specialty events to add some extra panache' to client's meetings.
