Franklin College has received a $437,000 estate gift from Clifford and Paula Dietz. The money will establish the Clifford and Paula Dietz Professional Development Lecture Series.
The school says the new endowed lecture series will bring “nationally recognized, prestigious and knowledgeable leaders to campus.” The lectures will focus on professional development and leadership.
“Cliff and Paula Dietz were truly devoted friends of Franklin College, and we are tremendously grateful for the foresight they demonstrated in making an estate gift. Its purpose exemplifies the caring spirit and visionary leadership that characterized the Dietzes’ entire lives. Our forthcoming lecture series will build on their incredible legacy and help shape the stories of Franklin College students and alumni for generations to come,” President Thomas Minar said.
Over the years, the Dietzes’ were honored by the college with honorary doctorate of humane letters. Cliff served on the board of trustees for many years. They established the Dietz Center for Professional Development in 1994.
