The Franklin College Board of Trustees has elected James Due as its new board chair. Due takes over for retiring board chair Christine Fields, who served for five years.
Due is a senior vice president and global head of banking for Northern Trust’s Global Family and Private Investment office. The Chicago-resident is a 1982 graduate of Franklin College and has served on the board since 2003.
“I feel blessed to have spent my undergraduate years at Franklin College,” said Due. “The tremendous educational experience and treasured friendships continue to enrich my life today. I am humbled and appreciative of the opportunity to serve the college in this capacity. It is an honor to work with our tremendously talented and dedicated trustees, administration, faculty and staff in supporting the mission of the college and addressing the needs of our current and future community at this dynamic time in history of higher education.”
Due also serves as the chair of finance on the college board’s Executive Committee, and co-chaired the 2015 Presidential Search Committee.
