Franklin College Appoints Dean of the College

Subscribe NowFranklin College has appointed Dr. Kristin Flora as vice president for academic affairs and dean of the college. The college says Flora has held the position on an acting basis since June of last year.
Previously, she was a faculty member in the college’s psychology department since 2007, serving as department chair from 2009-2015, as well as division head for social sciences.
“I am honored to continue in this role and thank President Prather, the Board of Trustees, and the faculty for their confidence in my leadership,” said Flora. “The Franklin College faculty are both skilled teachers and accomplished scholars. It is my privilege to support their work and the overall academic experience of our students.”
The college says she has earned multiple awards for her service to the college. In 2011, she was named the college’s Academic Adviser of the Year, and in 2018 she was awarded the Faculty/Staff Service Award, the highest award bestowed by student organizations through the Center for Student Involvement.
