Franklin College has appointed Lori Schroeder provost and dean of the college. She previously served as associate dean at Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois. Schroeder began teaching English at Knox in 1996 and became department chair in 2003. She also previously taught at Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York, the University of Illinois and the University of Denver. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English literature from Purdue University, a Master of Arts in English literature from the University of Illinois and a Ph. D in English language and literature from the University of Denver.
