Subscribe NowFort Wayne-based startup Pond, which focuses on connecting nonprofits with technology service providers, has launched an effort to help grow its reach and scale. The organization has created the Launch Pad, a referral service to increase the number of nonprofits using its site.
Members of the online platform could earn $2,000 bonuses for referring newly signed nonprofits.
The Pond website allows nonprofits to register, setting up profiles about their organizations. They can then initiate conversations with providers they believe may be a fit or solution for their technology needs.
“The beauty of Pond’s approach is that we make it easier for both sides of the relationship – the nonprofit and the provider – to connect in a more meaningful, transparent way,” said Kristen Giant, Pond’s head of growth. “Provider support for Launch Pad helps ensure as many nonprofits as possible know about Pond, because every nonprofit deserves to be here.”
The company has also created a new podcast series called “The Kids Table,” which discusses power dynamics and equity in the impact and nonprofit sector.
“As you’ll hear, their challenges are both universal and unique, and they emphasize our mission at Pond and how we’re helping them to meet those challenges,” said podcast host and Pond founder Mitch Stein. “We’re excited to share this first collection of inspiring and engaging conversations – featuring a distinctly Fort Wayne flavor – with the world.”
