Fort Wayne Set For Architecture Convention
A regional industry event this week is expected to attract hundreds of architecture professionals to Fort Wayne. The American Institute of Architects Indiana + Kentucky Convention will include city tours, workshops and a keynote speech by a nationally-known architect. September 29, 2014

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – From October 2-4, the 2014 American Institute of Architects Indiana + Kentucky Convention will meet at the Grand Wayne Convention Center in downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana.
For three days, more than 200 architects will participate in several informational workshops, discussions with industry professionals, and explore our city's architecture, attractions, and rivers.
On October 2, the group will listen to a presentation from the SWA Group on Fort Wayne's Downtown Riverfront Development Study, followed by a DesignSlam welcome party at the Fort Wayne Museum of Art at 7:30 p.m.
The next day, Bryan Bell of Bryan Bell Architecture/Design Corps based in Raleigh, North Carolina, will present the keynote speech. After additional breakout sessions, the group will head over to Parkview Field for a T.G.I.F celebration.
Before leaving our city, a group of architects will venture around downtown and learn about Fort Wayne's historic buildings and landmarks on Saturday.
