Fort Wayne Mayor Makes Promotion

Nancy Townsend

Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry has promoted Nancy Townsend to director of the city’s community development division. She has served as director of the redevelopment commission since 2016. Prior to that, Townsend served as city utilities’ manager of development services. She also previously served as senior planner and community development specialist in the Community Development Division. Townsend has worked for the City since 1990. She holds a bachelor’s in urban development and public policy from Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs.
