Fort Wayne insurance brokerage acquired

Illinois-based Athur J. Gallagher & Co., an insurance brokerage and risk management firm, has acquired Stewart, Brimner, Peters & Company, Inc., a retail insurance broker in Fort Wayne. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

SBP offers a variety of commercial and personal insurance products, in addition to employee benefits consulting, to clients in central and northern Indiana.

Gallagher says the Indiana team, consisting of Jason Brimner, John Brimner, Jeff Peters, and Mick Stewart, will remain Allen County. They’ll operate under the direction of Sean Gallagher, head of the company’s Great Lakes region retail property/casualty brokerage operations.

Gallagher says it provides insurance and risk management services in approximately 130 countries.
